Terms of Use
Last updated: 30 July 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Andrew Osinoff ("we", "us") covering your use of the Poze app. By downloading or using Poze, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What Poze is
Poze is a yoga practice app. It uses your device's camera to check whether you are holding a pose, tracks the poses you complete, and maintains a daily streak.
Pose detection runs entirely on your device. We never receive or store camera footage.
2. Health and safety — please read this one
Poze is not a medical service and does not give medical advice. We are not your doctor, physiotherapist, or qualified yoga instructor, and the app is not a substitute for any of them.
Talk to a doctor before starting, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, or have any medical condition affecting your joints, balance, blood pressure or heart.
Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort. Do not push into a pose because the app has not yet registered it.
You are responsible for your own safety. Practise on a stable surface with room around you, and never place your phone where it could fall on you.
The app cannot judge whether a pose is safe for your body. It compares your posture to a general model. A pose the app accepts may still be wrong for you, and a pose it rejects may be perfectly safe for you. It measures shapes, not wellbeing.
You take part in physical activity at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any injury arising from your use of the app.
3. Who can use Poze
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, please use Poze with the knowledge and agreement of a parent or guardian.
4. Your account
You can sign in with Apple to back up your progress. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and Apple ID secure. You may use the app without signing in, but your progress will exist only on that device and will be lost if you delete the app or change phone.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Poze requires a paid subscription to use.
Billing is handled by Apple, not by us. We never see or process your payment details.
Subscriptions are offered monthly or annually at the prices shown in the app.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
Your Apple Account is charged at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
Free trials: where offered, if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription. Free trials are available once per person — if you have used one before, you will be charged immediately, and the app will not offer you a trial in that case.
To cancel: iPhone Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions → Poze → Cancel. We cannot cancel a subscription for you.
Cancelling stops future charges but does not end your current period. You keep full access until the period you have already paid for runs out.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If we change our prices, we will tell you in advance, and the change will only apply from your next renewal.
6. Acceptable use
Please do not:
Copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its content
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
Try to bypass payment or gain access to paid features without a subscription
Use the app in any unlawful way, or in a way that interferes with its operation
7. Our content
The app, its design, its pose library, its artwork and its software belong to us and are protected by copyright. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app. It does not transfer ownership of anything.
Your practice data belongs to you.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Poze working reliably, but we do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may update, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and will not charge you for a period you cannot use.
9. Ending this agreement
You may stop using Poze at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account in You → Account → Delete account.
We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.
10. Disclaimers and limits on our liability
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated here.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights the law gives you, and nothing here overrides them.
11. Apple
Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for the app. Apple is not obliged to provide support for Poze. If the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple and they will refund your purchase price where applicable; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Poze after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
